Travel Information:

Like many in the hotel industry, the impact of COVID-19 has forced us to make the difficult decision to temporarily suspend operations at Franklin Suite Hotel. If you have an existing reservation, please contact us so we may assist you in making alternative arrangements at our sister properties.

Masks Must Be Worn Effective September 4, 2021

As per new public health orders in the province of Alberta, masks are required in all indoor public spaces effective September 4, 2021. Guests must wear a mask when moving through the hotel's indoor public spaces, including restaurant and fitness area. Masks can be removed by the guests when entering their room, when seated at the restaurant or while working out at the hotel gym. Find out more at alberta.ca.

Below we have outlined what services and amenities are available at each of our hotels.We look forward to welcoming you to our hotels.

As of September 20, 2021 we are participating in Alberta’s Restrictions Exemption Program. All guests aged 12 and older who wish to use hotel’s services and amenities, including fitness centre and meeting rooms must provide proof of vaccination or proof of a privately-paid negative COVID-19 PCR or Rapid Test resulted completed within 72 hours prior to the time of service or a valid medical exemption, in addition to government-issued ID.

Guests will not be required to meet the above protocols in order to book overnight accommodation at the hotel and to enjoy the comforts of their guest room.

Amenities and services at our hotel

Following provincial regulations, and with health and safety as our top priority, the following services are open with modifications:

  • Lobby Market
  • Guests can grab their breakfast of fresh fruit, muffins, snacks and beverages
  • Fitness Centre: Check in with front desk to received access; POV required.

We know this is inconvenient and is contrary to our desire to do whatever we can to make your stay comfortable and easy, but we hope that our actions will continue flatten the curve, and keep you safe. We continue to closely monitor the Health Canada, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) statements regarding the coronavirus (COVID‐19) cases and follow guidance from these agencies, our government and local health departments.

Our Cancellation Policy:

  • For bookings made through a travel agent or online booking platform (i.e. Booking.com, Expedia), please contact them directly – we have advised these companies of our cancellation policy and you should refer to their terms and conditions.
  • Groups & Meetings Bookings: We will work with our customers to manage any changes needed to Group & Meeting bookings on a case by case basis. Our hotel is actively supporting groups and meetings organizers to address the needs of each group, including moving event dates to another time, in line with terms and conditions of that booking.

We continue to monitor the evolving situation and will be keeping this policy under review.

  • Fitness Centre: Open 24/7 to guests, with key card access (Sign in for a time slot at the front desk – one guest room at a time)
  • Business Centre: Open 24/7 to guests
  • Complimentary laundry facilities with washers and dryers: Open 24/7 to guests
